I’m asked on nearly a daily basis how I create the skin in the above image. Well I’m going to give you the answer and its oils. People are frightened of oil as they think it will make their skin oily and cause spots. But I want to dispel that myth. Oil does quite the opposite as the skin is made of oil it finds it easier to absorb and process oil. Thus giving you gorgeous skin. Facial oils also tend to be made of more natural ingredients so much better for us all round.
I always give my models a little facial massage before I apply any make-up. Always work upwards and don’t be afraid to be firm. Skin enjoys being manipulated its this stimulation that gives it a glow. I do this myself twice a day when applying oil morning and night. Yes you can wear it under make-up it has a lovely effect on foundation and I find it’s the only way to get the skin to look real. No heavy cakey make-up on my models!
